Back for it's second year, bigger and better we were yet again commissioned to oversee production of the 2013 Samsung Run Dublin at Night. This year we had a crew of 14 shooting on Canon 5D's, Sony PMW200's, Hero 3 GoPro's and some Samsung Galaxy Camera's. 10,000 took to the streets for an awe inspiring night with thankfully little rain... For the fourth year in a row we were back producing the Digital Media Awards. This year was our biggest challenge where we were commissioned to design and build a 2 minute bespoke opening sequence to kick off the awards. Big up to Emmet Griffin who did a fantastic job. After a lot of planning and for the first time ever we finally got to shoot in Dublin's Port Tunnel. To promote the upcoming Focus Ireland 10k Tunnel Run we were commissioned to produce a first of its kind video using a green screen, treadmill, Spin1038's Brian Maher, a projector, Cine Mount car clamps for our cameras and a big long Tunnel! This was a really wet but really cool shoot. Samsung commissioned us to shoot the first ever Samsung Run Dublin @ Night in April. An amazing night! This year the final round was based on the Dragon's Den format with some of the country's leading innovators and entrepreneurs acting as the Dragons! First up we traveled to Galway to visit a student of NUI who develops apps using Windows Azure and then we were off to Killiney Hill on a strangely summery day with Eirtight Technologies who used to Azure platform to help the relief effort in Hati. Spin Latvia is just about to launch and parent radio station Spin 1038 in Dublin commissioned RAIC Productions to produce a VT that featured on Latvian TV to welcome the new station to the Spin network. The VT was shown on a popular Latvian TV Big Brother style show and featured and the Spin 1038 DJ's welcoming the new station to the network. Microsoft recently commissioned us to shoot and edit their Irish leg of the 2011 Imagine Cup. Microsoft created the Imagine Cup nine years ago with the idea that students can and will change the world. The Imagine Cup competition spans one year, beginning with local, regional, and online contests in over 100 countries/regions. The finalists go on to attend the Worldwide Finals held in a different country every year. Here at RAIC HQ we were delighted to be able to contribute to Spin 1038's Brian Maher's 126 Challenge for the Special Olympic Team. Starting this morning Brian is going to run 5 marathons in 5 days a total of 126 miles, from Limerick finishing on Friday in Dublin. To promote the brand new Samsung Galaxy Range RAIC Productions were commissioned to create an online promo featuring the new Samsung Tab 10.1, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Ace and Samsung Mini. Keeping with the galactican theme the promo is based onboard the Samsung Mobile Space Station. We utilised, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Motion, Final Cut Pro, three voice over artists and a huge bank of sound effects to create the piece. Following a record-breaking number of votes received from parents and families throughout Ireland (almost 30,000), the winners of the third annual maternity & Infant Awards will be announced at this gala luncheon in The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin hosted by TV3's Martin King and Sybil Mulcahy. Produced by RAIC Productions the show was captured by eight cameras including a Gilde Cam with a Kamino light mounted on the front and a 6ft jib. Directed and Edited by our Dave Davin, graphics and grading was carried out in house at RAIC Productions with sound post production being carried out by the fantastic Avatar Post Production Studio. RAIC Productions has just completed the Medical Council's Guide to Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Medical Practitioners VideoCast which explains the new Act in a easy to understand visual presentation. Shooting took place in June and post production was completed at our studios. The finished VideoCast will be available on the Medical Council's website www.medicalcouncil.ie and here in the 'Our Work' section in the coming weeks.

RAIC Productions will be shooting all weekend at Europe's favorite Rock & Roll Weekend Oxegen. "Getting to Main Stage" is a new eight part series being produced by The Momentum Group, we'll be interviewing all the bands and artists who will be performing over the weekend and taking some live action from the various stages. Post production will be carried out back at base after the long weekend!

The SGMC Multimedia Group have commissioned RAIC Productions to create a short TV Commercial for one of their brands. This will be a full animation sequence using, After Effects CS5, Motion, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Color, Soundtrack Pro and the voice talent of Spin 1038's Shona Ryan.

RAIC Productions recently filmed and edited the Samsung Wave and Developer Day Launch at the Mansion House in Dublin. Over 100 App developers from around Europe were in attendance to learn about the new Bada platform and the potential the new 1Ghz Processor phone has. The production and post-production departments of RAIC Productions have been practically working 24/7 for the last week on a new project in conjunction with the SGMC Multimedia Group. Two days last week was spent in London's Camberwell Studio's shooting green screen and another day in Dublin's deStudio. Dublin's busiest through-fair, Grafton St. came to a practical stand still at precisely 1.30pm today when over 200 choreographed dancers took to the street to a mega mash up of the massive Glee Cast music. In aid of Dublin's 98 Care for Kids Radiothon, RAIC Productions was involved in shooting this big multi-cam event and the result can be seen on Dublin's 98 website, www.dublin98.ie

The awards take place on the 27th February 2010 and we're up against some hefty competition, Event Elephant and Rate My Area. RAIC Productions have just shot an interview at the Bubble Exhibition at The Science Gallery in Dublin between Eoin Colfer (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and Niall Breslin (The Blizzards). Eoin has just completed writing the new Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy called And Another Thing... and The Blizzards to coincide with the release has penned a new single of the same name.
